Customs Brokers

Customs brokers are persons, partnerships, or corporations who assist businesses with international imports and exports. Regardless if the method of shipping is by air, land, or water, customs brokers serve as the middlemen to ensure all international procedures are followed. Customs brokers must be licensed by the United States Customs and Border Protection and they must show that they are knowledgeable of federal custom and border regulations.

Utilizing a customs broker

Companies interested in making imports or exports must go through a customs broker in order to complete the process. The size of the company does not affect the need for a customs broker. From small partnerships to multi-national companies, the use of a customs broker is necessary.
