Delivery Service Continued…

Mail

Whether personal or business this is the oldest form of delivery service. As we all know, rain, shine or snow the mailman delivers your letters. Adding to that are services like UPS and FedEx that offer 2nd day delivery, 3rd day delivery, 3rd day in the morning delivery and so on. These are great alternatives when you need to get that package somewhere fast. You can call UPS and schedule a pickup without ever talking with a person. Just punch in a few keys and you are finished. Or you can get online and manage your account, pay your bill, and/or schedule your pickup down to the half hour you want them to arrive.

Food

The mother of all deliveries. Sometimes we want things and they just cannot wait. For a long time food delivery was limited to pizza, but that is just not the case anymore. Chinese food, burgers, sandwiches, salads, potatoes, sushi, burritos…anything you want is yours in 45 minutes or less. A relatively new development is grocery delivery. You go to the company's website and pick out the items you desire. Then the next day a person arrives at your door with your tofu, romaine lettuce, fat-free sugar-free sugar cookies, and some herbal teas. In more agricultural areas, local co-ops will deliver a box of produce to your door each week for a fee.

Miscellaneous Items aka The Goods

With the internet taking over the world, shopping is now done online and delivered to your door. How nice to never have to step foot into a mall! Movies can now be selected, arranged in a particular order for delivery and dropped in your mailbox each day. Flowers for Valentine's Day? Ordered over the phone and dropped off to your sweetie's office in a flash. No problem. The problem now is creating a reason to actually leave your house.
