If you conduct any kind of business either at the office or at home, chances are you need some sort of filing system. Filing systems can be large rooms filled with cabinets that contain nothing but documents, or they can be small boxes with a few important papers. Whatever your needs are, it is important to have a filing system that is organized and gets the job done.

Types of Filing Cabinets

A filing system in a business or organization usually needs many shelves. There are many different styles that can accommodate just about any space. Standard shelves allow for minimal storage. They are usually anywhere from two to five drawers tall and pull out. Mobile shelves are large columns that slide to make room for viewing, while keeping the file in a compact space. Sliding shelves operate much like large sliding glass doors or walls. You move the wall in front of you to one side exposing the wall of files behind it.
