Foreign Exchange Brokers

Foreign exchange brokers are professionals who specialize in the trading of currencies in the foreign exchange market. The exchange rates between various currencies is constantly fluctuating, and strategically buying and selling certain currencies within tight timeframes is a form of trading and investment that, while dominated by banks, is also done by some private traders. Foreign exchange brokers work for these traders on a commission basis, fulfilling requests for purchases and sales in as close to real-time as possible.

The foreign exchange market

While many people are aware of the stock market where equities in companies are sold and traded, fewer know about the foreign exchange market, where currencies of various countries are similarly exchanged. The foreign exchange market operates on the basis of changing exchange rates, or the relative values of currencies when compared to one another. Usually expressed as a ratio between the foreign currency and one United States dollar, this value is constantly fluctuating in response to various international events and market forces.
