Multimedia

Multimedia is a general term for appliances, software, and information presented in more than one format. For instance, a PowerPoint presentation is a form of multimedia. It can combine sound, text, graphics, images and even animation.

Remember when computers were first developed? All you could really do was type information. There was no way to watch a movie on your computer. You couldn't even listen to a CD on your computer.
