Partitions

Partitions

In regards to structures, partitions are interior dividing walls that may or may not bear structural weight. The word partition has also come to be used as a common term in describing the way in which hard drives are formatted for use.

Modular Partitions

If you have a business space which you need to change to accommodate growth or changing business needs, then modular partition walls may be a good solution for your problem. Modular partitions quickly create a wall for offices, storage areas, industrial operations, warehouses, or any other structure. Walls can be selected with exterior finishes that match their environment. The interior cores of the wall are durable and can offer sound deadening and fire resistance to meet your needs.

Cubicle Partitions

Cubicle partitions are a popular and effective way to create a sense of privacy in an open office space which enables workers to better focus on their work. Cubicle partitions:
  • Reduce office noise

  • Prevent crossover voice traffic from multiple workers speaking simultaneously

  • Reduce light disturbances from working neighbors

  • Suspend horizontal work surfaces and shelving.
When buying partitions for cubicles, be sure to take your time in selecting the brand that will best suit the needs of your office space. There are many manufacturers, but their products are not compatible with one another, so once you make a choice, you will have to live with it. Take the time to do some research and plan the layout to be used for future expansion. Also, refurbished and remanufactured cubicle partitions can often be found at discounted prices.

Toilet Partitions

Toilet partitions provide privacy in public restroom environments. These come in a number of styles, designs, and mounting styles. These partitions are sturdy and offer flexible design layouts to accommodate codes and local requirements. Powder coated steel, stainless steel, plastic laminate, and solid plastic are popular choices.

Hard Drive Partitions

The memory of hard drives and other mass storage devices are isolated into sections. These partitions function as if they were separate hard drives. This allows the hard drive to be divided into two parts in order to run two different operating systems, or, to improve the efficiency of disk function. Each partition is viewed as a logical storage unit and typically contains one file system, so it is possible that a computer with one drive may appear to have multiple hard drives. This makes organizing, saving, and retrieving data faster and more efficient.
