Stenographer

A stenographer uses a form of writing called shorthand to record the spoken word. The stenographer then translates the shorthand into written documents such as letters, transcripts, and manuscripts.

What a Stenographer Does

A stenographer's duties include preparing a verbatim record of oral expression, creating an accurate typed copy of that record, filing and maintaining paperwork, and other administrative or secretarial duties.
