There are a number of resources available to people who wish to hire a professional to do their tax returns, and the only difficult part is actually making the decision.

What to consider when hiring a tax professional

There are many people who offer tax return preparation services, but offering to do returns does not automatically qualify them. Large firms such as H&R Block and other accounting firms are a safe bet, and employ only qualified people to do tax return preparation for their customers. However, certified public accountants are also qualified to do tax returns, as are tax accountants and even qualified volunteers who donate their time to help low- and moderate-income families do their taxes.
